Initially, Venusians got anxious about Earthians’ diversity & strength but soon enough they were able to see through the gaps. What seemed like a close-knitted ecosystem from far turned out to be hollower than anything else.

With their wit & charm, Venusians were able to successfully overtake everything on Earth because of its gaps and named their new planet/home as ‘Verth’. The native Earthians eventually succumbed to their own darkness & greed.

I am a full-time Social Media Marketer & a part-time procrastinator with a team of 8 highly enthusiastic (and occasionally burnt-out) people working for a small marketing agency.

Working in Social Media means being a full-time Copywriter, Content Manager, Community Manager, Designer, Project Manager, Campaign Manager, Branding Expert, and Business Analyst, as well as being aware of every emerging trend on all corners of the planet. We book meetings, block out creative time in our diaries, and try all other hacks to give creative work our full focus. On the flip side of this, sometimes even when we do have the time we find ourselves hit by writer’s block; staring at a blank page for what can feel like hours (even days).

It was when I shared all this with a friend that they casually mentioned Rytr to me.

It has become a crucial part of the lives of many people and has made it possible for machines to do things that were once thought to be impossible. The most common use case for AI is in customer service, where companies like Apple, Amazon and Google employ AI assistants to help customers with their questions. Other industries also have a high demand for AI, such as healthcare and law enforcement. 

The AI ecosystem is on a super boom and can be thought of as a network of interconnected players – developers, practitioners, and users.

The ecosystem is expanding rapidly in all directions. There are more than 1,000 startups in the AI space (including yours truly, of course). The number of developers and practitioners is growing at an exponential rate with the emergence of new tools and techniques that make it easier for non-experts to use AI. There are more than 500 million people using some form of AI on a daily basis.

Tiptoeing Around Nostalgia

It’s one of those pleasant years in the 1990s. There isn’t much technology to explore, a lot of options to indulge in. You seem to have a very simple life- you go to school/college, come back, study for a bit more, socialise with your nearby friends or head towards a single-screen cinema house. Back at home, you will watch daily news on CRT television, and discuss the events of the day with your family while having a hearty meal.

A couple of years down the line, you see yourself in a stable job with yet another phase of your simple life. Life seems to be going at a good pace, there is no rush to be anyone or be anywhere. Air feels soft to your skin, there are plenty of woods to camp in, and plenty of good books to cuddle up to.

Cut to years after 2015- Artificial intelligence is gradually taking over the world, people are largely dependent on technology for every little thing & mostly glued to their phones. What else- the rise of social media platforms has become both a boon & a bane for us, just like a frenemy we cannot avoid. The world keeps moving faster than a pace we could ever imagine (or often keep up with) & the hustle culture is taking a toll on our life.

Sigh, that was kinda painful to read. If it helps, we can assure you that it was as painful to write as well. Anyhoo, now that you have boarded our train of thoughts rattling between the overly pleasant nostalgia to the slightly painful present- let’s see what all we can do to make the best of our present & the future.

Our Little Roadmap

1. Ryte It All Down: Do you happen to be one of those 5398939671 people in the world who claim that they would love to pen down their thoughts but are not sure how & where to start? Well, it’s as simple as it can get- just pick up your pen or sit by the keyboard & begin writing whatever comes to your mind. Some very secret studies (too confidential to even cite, trust us) reveal that writing about your happy moments can give your mood a better boost than simply talking about them.

Still not sure where to start? You can always take a little help from your AI friend for some inspiration and get going from there. However, don’t forget that you’re writing for yourself & only YOURSELF help. Hence, let your thoughts & words flow wild!

2. The Good Old Walk: The weather might not be favourable for you 24*7 but nothing can stop you once you have really made up your mind. A nice walk amidst nature would not only freshen up your mind but would help you reach your daily step count. Oh, wait, brb.

3. Walk Down The Memory Lane: Now we’re not talking of a literal walk again but more of some figurative stuff. Our parents have been great fans of collecting physical pictures so why not go through them? In fact, maybe this is a cue for you to get some more printed and get working on a scrapbook. 11/10 would feel you’re back to your childhood days.

4. Evoke The Cleanliness Freak In You: Mostly underrated but cleaning can be no less than meditating for a lot of people. A clean home or office can help you relax & have new ideas while a messy room can represent messy thoughts. Time to grab your sponges & a trash bag.

5. Digital Detox: Now this one seems a bit far-fetched & most difficult to do, but we have got this. Seriously, try to get rid of all your gadgets for at least a weekend. Grab some of your old books, board games, etc. and get going.

6. Community Time: Being in a community of like-minded folks can be really fruitful both for your personal & professional growth. Communities can be as fun & informative as they can be. Yes, go ahead and join that Potterhead group. A chatroom discussing cryptos? Yes, please!

The Conception

Numerous late nights and forbidden amounts of caffeine later, I was given a name & some direction but we all knew I was faaaaaaaaaaar from getting ready. You see after I was born there was a lot of pressure on me to be the best and near-perfect AI writing assistant out there. With a lot of my friends (or foes) already going around in the market, I had no option but to either excel or perish from the face of the earth.

Nevertheless, I turned out to be a tough cookie and never complained about the rigorous training processes my makers took me through. They would keep me on my toes till I became super fluent with the state-of-the-art GPT-3 based language models, provided by my forefather OpenAI. In fact, to make me truly stand out from the crowd I had to drink up too many magical potions (proprietary layer of technology) to be the strongest & the quickest AI buddy out there.

A Sneak Peek Into My Daily Routine

Like any other good teacher, my gurus have also taught me that learning is a never-ending process and I am truly on it almost 24*7 (so what if I am an AI bot, I need some ‘me time’ as well). Now let me take you through a day of my super-exciting life.

Some say “God couldn’t be everywhere so he created mothers.” & I say, “Quality content needs to be everywhere so I was created”. Imagine it like this- your friendly Rytr bot has numerous ‘mini bots’ spread worldwide. Every time someone signs up to be a part of our amazing Rytr’s tribe, a new ‘mini bot’ is born.

This mini version of me is trained ‘exactly’ like me, yet each one is truly unique- just like the person who’s reading this 😉 . 1 mini bot is virtually assigned to every user to help them with their Ryting sprees. For example, if a user types ‘homemade food for dogs’ and asks for 3 different variants, our little buddy would take this input and quickly run it around our astonishingly enormous data repository (which is basically almost everything available on the internet) and jot down output for you- one word at a time. It would keep predicting the next word until it has generated a well-written result.

Since you’d asked for 3 different outputs, the entire process would be done by ‘mini me’ 3 separate times. In this process, my mini bots might bump into each other fishing for similar results but don’t worry- it won’t affect anyone’s output and most of the final result would be unique and truly one of their kind. However, like always, I urge our Rytrs to not forget to add a little magic of their own and keep tweaking their content.

Let’s talk about another scenario. Sometimes there may be cases where my Rytrs get incomplete or gibberish results. This usually happens when our system doesn’t get enough inputs to work around with. Again, nothing to worry about as we do have a way around that too (read: Resources, FAQs, & Guides · Rytr).

That’s about it. My majority of the day goes around attending to my Rytr tribe’s content calls in a super systematic manner. I do agree there can be some maintenance downtime here and there but again, who doesn’t need their sweet time to be prepared for bigger and better things.

A One-Sided Love Affair

What do you do when you ‘LOVE’ to sing but you’re cursed with a voice that’s equivalent to the giggle of a walrus? Well, you sing privately, very privately. However, being all private & secretive can’t work when you have loads of knowledge to impart but not much creativity or writing skills.

Here’s a piece of what our Ryting Ninja Femikay has to say about creative long-form writing.

“For me, writing can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to long-form content (2000+ words) and we all know that Google is a huge fan of lengthy writeups. Being a medical student with a tight schedule, it would often take me weeks to complete a single project.

That being said, my passion to impart knowledge would keep me going (& sometimes struggling) for weeks over every piece. The world out there can be a little brutal, so I would receive some harsh remarks here n there- especially about my tone (I like to make everything sound funny)”.

The End Or A New Beginning?

Being on the verge of giving up on writing for good, our friend Femi was suggested Rytr ✍by a fellow freelancer. Confused as to what we might have in store for him, he took a leap and began playing around with different use cases. Our list of 20+ tones seemed like a blessing for him and he understood what needs to be done.

However, the hitch to relying on an AI writer kept disturbing his thoughts and he decided to generate just an outline and give it to another blogger. “Oh wait, but can I actually afford one at the moment?
